Today I opened up a post on 3 Ocean and found this post by Kevin. The only time a blogger writes posts like that is if he has nothing to say. Ok, so you enjoyed someone else’s post and you want to share it with your readers. Nothing wrong with that. The article he links to isn’t bad, though its kind of a 2 minutes fluff piece you might see on Good Morning America. In my book, saying nothing and just linking to someone else’s post is a cardinal sin. If you don’t have time to blog, don’t blog. If you’re going to publish a post, post something real.
Maybe its because Realestatevoices is such a weak social network as it stands and there’s no social network sites for real estate agents where they can submit articles to say “hey, I found this cool post, check it out!” Trulia is strictly Q & A. So maybe bloggers like Kevin are forced to submit links on a blog to share with his buddies. But at the end of the day, there’s nothing more annoying than a blog post that just links to someone else’s post.
